WALDEN
The Magic Model features a distinctive rocker, rails, and hull design exclusive to Walden Surfboards. The front half of the hull is concave, this single concave transitions into a double concave in the rear, and the back third transitions into a moderate "V". This design provides lift, stability, and excellent noseriding capability.
The board's performance characteristics include hard rails that resist catching, combined with unique bottom curves and bevels. The double-concaved hull and hard rails make the board fast, stable, responsive, and maneuverable in all conditions.
Known by many as the “Father of the Modern Longboard,” Steve Walden shaped his first surfboard in 1961, at age 13, and never looked back. Eight years later, the native Southern Californian opened his first board factory and store in Huntington Beach, then moved to the North Shore of Oahu in 1972, where he made a name for himself as a prolific longboard shaper.
